Xu Yun asked curiously, "I saw a poster of Xu Song on your desk yesterday. Are you a big fan of his?"

"Not really. I just like his music."

"Well, if I get the chance someday, how about I have him come sing for you in person?"

"See? You couldn’t even resist me testing you. And you claim you’re not a fan of his."

He saw a decent-looking but classless woman looking down on them.

The woman smirked. "I heard you got into the television station. How’s it going? What show are you hosting?"

"It’s none of your business."

"I’m just trying to help you out of the kindness of my heart."

The woman said boastfully, "I heard you were assigned to the worst late-night radio show. How about I have a word with my godfather and get you moved to a new position?"

"Thank you, but I don’t need it."

Song Xiaowei said, annoyed, "I’m perfectly fine on the radio show. If there’s nothing else, please don’t bother us while we’re eating."

"You’re just letting your pride make you suffer. Why bother?"

The woman lectured, "We’re not in school anymore. Once you start working, it’s all about who you know."

"I have a question."

Xu Yun suddenly spoke up. "Miss, if your godfather is so powerful, how come you didn’t get into the television station?"

"I..."

The woman was at a loss for words. "It’s because I don’t want to! Otherwise, I could get in at the drop of a hat. Unlike some people, who have to sleep their way in."

The woman asked, feigning concern, "You two won’t break up over this, will you?"

With the atmosphere ruined, Xu Yun and Song Xiaowei lost their appetites and simply got up and left.

The two found another cafeteria to eat in.

"Were you really unpopular back in school or something?"
