Chapter 249 250 – The Daemon-Eater Has Arrived!

<[New Fanfic Is UP: [Naruto: I Have A Gravity Training Room]>

When the glow of the teleportation tunnel faded, the warriors finally saw that dreadful silhouette clearly.

Amid the dull red gloom of the battlefield—and the shrieking of Chaos Furies overhead—a towering figure, nearly six meters in height, strode forth, clad in heavy, fearsome power armor wreathed in dark-gold flames.

Everything about him radiated an unsettling power, leaving no doubt that this unknown entity was immensely formidable.

At the same time, a massive, terrifying army appeared in his wake, surging toward the shrine!

"By the Emperor…that's not reinforcements!"

Seeing the menacing figure and the vast alien force behind him, one Ultramarine cried out in dismay.

Saint Celestine, her entire body battered and bones nearly crushed, was tossed against the rubble by the Bloodthirster's mighty blow.

She could barely move, hovering at the edge of death.

Catching sight of this approaching army of monstrous xenos edging ever nearer to the shrine, she felt all hope slip away.

They were…yet more enemies!

Her eyes closed in resignation.

"Damnable xenos! Do they mean to join this war as well?"

Greyfax, desperately fending off the daemons before her, could not hide her contempt for these new arrivals. As an Inquisitor, she abhorred xenos on principle.

Yet she noticed that the daemons' assault began to slow—the rancid abominations seemed…afraid?

"He is…the Daemon-Eater."

"Yes, that terrifying favorite of the Emperor…"

"The one who devours daemons alive!"

Greyfax heard an unfamiliar name that spread through the battlefield in the blink of an eye.

She realized then that these foul monstrosities truly feared the unknown newcomer—more so than they had feared even the Grey Knights' arrival.

"Daemon-Eater!!!"

Ka'Bandha's thunderous roar tore the clouds apart, echoing across the war-torn field. The sound bristled with alarm and disbelief.

He gazed at that monstrous figure and felt his own eyes narrow, sinking into deep confusion.

He even wondered if he was imagining things.

Why had the Daemon-Eater truly appeared? Hadn't Ka'Bandha merely fabricated that tale to cover up his own failures before the other daemons?

This must be an illusion…surely it couldn't be real.

But then Ka'Bandha saw the hauntingly familiar weapon strapped to that terrifying figure—the same one that had once appeared in countless nightmares.

His mighty daemon body quivered, the warp-flame trembling.

That dreaded weapon had haunted him again and again in his dreams.

Ka'Bandha felt certain: that figure was the same savior who had nearly ended his life!

What now?

The Chief Bloodthirster was frantic.

Meanwhile, the imposing newcomer also seemed bewildered:

"Uh…'Daemon-Eater?' Are they talking about me?"

Eden remembered that the Goddess of Life—back in that nightmare realm—had used the same term.

So he was that famous in the Warp?

He was…famous?

Eden felt a touch uneasy. Being noticed by the powers of the Warp was hardly a good thing. It's not the thief you catch but the one who keeps you in his sights that's the real worry.

He had just arrived via teleportation and was shocked by the intensity of the battle.

Famous names from across the galaxy—multiple Terminators, Dreadnoughts strewn about the field.

Space Marines, though formidable to ordinary humans, were dropping like rank-and-file troops here, wave after wave.

It was terrifying.

Even more unsettling was that most eyes on the battlefield had pivoted toward him the moment he appeared. Their stares, to put it mildly, did not look friendly.

For a split second, Eden considered backing out. Then he steadied his resolve:

He had come all this way.

This time, traveling to Macragge, Eden had essentially invested a third of his entire domain's resources, bringing nearly all his top-tier forces except for his own Space Marines.

Though this might not be enough to tip the entire battle, it certainly counted as reinforcements.

Besides, he had a weapon he'd been preparing for over a decade—his trump card.

No need to panic!

Eden composed himself, leading his heavily armored Genestealers and Orks forward in grim silence, advancing on the shrine.

The teleportation drop point was a good distance from the shrine, so he had to forge his way there.

Watching these xenos charge forward, Calgar and his Ultramarines, along with the Imperium forces, nearly lost all hope.

"O Emperor, please tell us how to escape this nightmare!"

They were already struggling against Chaos. Now an entirely new force of terrifying xenos warriors had shown up.

They saw no chance of victory.

The lines broke down even further.

Almost the entire shrine hall had collapsed, leaving the Primarch, still asleep upon his throne, exposed for all to see.

"Courage and Honor—defend our Father!" Calgar roared, leading a desperate resistance.

The Space Marines formed a living wall of flesh and blood, but Chaos pressed on, breaching the very front of the shrine.

Just as true despair set in—

Thump, thump, thump!

A rousing hymn rose.

It was a battle song extolling the Emperor, a sacred anthem that instantly flooded the battlefield, even overpowering the cacophony of artillery and gunfire!

Hearing this hymn, Saint Celestine slowly opened her eyes, listening with boundless hope.

She felt her body begin to mend. A gentle, angelic smile graced her blood-stained face.

Surely the Emperor had answered their pleas!

A moment later, her smile froze. "My Lord…what is this…"

Greyfax, surrounded by foes and bleeding from several deep wounds, likewise felt some power flow into her the instant the hymn started—a surge of faith.

"In the Emperor's name, may His wrath descend on you all!"

She unleashed a furious volley into the daemons before her.

But when she found the source of that hymn, it was like smashing her head into a brick wall.

Her mind reeled.

She saw them: enormous Genestealers and Orks, blasting these hymns across the battlefield.

In the flicker of muzzle flashes, Greyfax spotted shining Imperial Aquila emblems on their gleaming armor. They glowed brilliantly.

Then the xenos let out a mighty war cry—"For the Emperor!"

"For the Emperor!"

The heavily armored Genestealers and Orks charged the Chaos lines without hesitation, as if they were truly loyal servants of the Emperor.

"Ugh…they're so devoted!"

Eden was satisfied by what he saw.
