Chapter 156 Acting
Chapter 156 Acting
"No. If they had, they wouldn't have quarreled to the point of breaking up."
When Pha heard the word "break up", her eyes showed disbelief.
He pulled her down and made her sit on the edge of the bed. "It's true. Your brother just told me himself that Pran sent him a message saying he wanted to break up. They are arguing about this issue now. Fortunately, he knew his limits and didn't make a big fuss. Otherwise, there would be more trouble."
It was unknown how long they talked. Tang Xi only knew that when Pat appeared before him again, his face was filled with seriousness and the firmness of a certain resolution.
Sure enough, when I called him to eat the next morning, he was no longer there when I opened the door.
"Is Pat still in a bad mood?" Seeing that no one followed Tang Xi, his uncle's tone became unpleasant.
After sitting down next to Pha, he spoke: "Pat is not in the room."
Hearing this answer, my uncle froze for a moment, but he didn't say anything else. He knew where his son had gone.
This breakfast was very depressing. After finishing breakfast with Pha with difficulty, I pulled him and walked towards home.
After escaping that suffocating environment, Pha breathed a sigh of relief: "This atmosphere is really disgusting."
"Yeah. I don't know how long it will last." He rolled up his sleeves and walked towards the kitchen: "I didn't eat breakfast, do you want to eat more?"
A few minutes later, each of them had a sandwich in their hands. Tang Xi ate it bite by bite, while Pha ate it sporadically. Finally, he put down the food in his hands and said, "Aren't you worried about my brother?"
He stuffed the last bite into his mouth and swallowed it before replying to her question: "Your brother and Pran went out to relax." After saying that, he picked up his phone and placed the message he had just received in front of her.
Pha was relieved to know his brother's whereabouts. "That's good. But is he okay being alone?"
He picked up her unfinished sandwich and finished it in a few bites: "Pran went with him." He opened Pran's chat box on his phone.
"Is this the result of their discussion last night? Are they eloping?"
"No, they won't elope. At most, they'll go out to relax and find a solution. So, we just need to wait quietly for them to come back these few days."
After eating several meals in a row under such low pressure, Tang Xi rubbed his stomach with a grim expression: "When will these two guys come back? If they don't come back, my stomach will be unable to bear it!" This atmosphere was so uncomfortable that he couldn't even enjoy his meal.
I picked up my phone, opened the dialog box, and sent a message to the other party: When will you come back? If you don’t come back soon, I’m going to get a stomachache.
Pran: Why rush? We need to figure out how to resolve this. Also, it's just Pran and I alone time now, so don't keep messaging him.
When Tang Xi saw the message, he sent three exclamation marks: No, I sent a message to Pran, what does it have to do with you?
Pran: Humph, how can it be okay? If you kept posting, wouldn't my trip with him end even sooner?! If it were you and my sister, would you think it was okay? And if you need anything in the future, come to me, don't bother him all the time.
Tang Xi gritted his teeth and said, "Humph, go find him if you want. What can you do to me? Besides, if it were me, I would just turn off my phone and leave you all alone."
Pran: Ignore him. Pat and I will be back in two days. Everything has to come to an end. Keep avoiding it is no use.
As soon as I saw the reply, I knew it was me: OK, I got it.
Pha came back from the bathroom and saw that he had been sending messages: "Who are you sending messages to?"
"Who else could it be? Your brother and the others." He handed her the phone for her to check. "I'm going to take a shower. You can talk to your brother. You've been worried about him for so many days. It's so hard to contact him. You can't miss this opportunity."
Pha took his phone and opened their chat page without having to scroll through it. "Didn't Pran say he would be back in a few days? There's no need to rush."
A few days later, he was indeed seen at his dining table. But he was acting so pretentiously... Tang Xi wondered if his uncle was just playing along, or was he just being coy? After all, Pat's acting was so fake. If you don't believe me, look at Pha sitting next to him. If she hadn't been hiding her face with a magazine, everyone would have seen her laughing so hard she was about to cry.
Tang Xi, who couldn't wait any longer, came to his room after dinner, pulled Pran out of his room, and forced the two of them to sit together: "Tell me, what are you guys up to?"
The two of them smiled at each other: "I told you, you can't fool him with your acting skills." Pat smiled foolishly at Pran and did not refute his words.
Feeling that he had been forced to eat a handful of dog food, Tang Xi sighed and thought that he shouldn't have eaten so much tonight. Now he is so full that he wants to vomit.
After listening to Pran's explanation of their plan, Tang Xi rubbed his chin. "So, you agree with what I said before. Put the relationship underground, pretend to be broken up on the surface, and then go back to the dorm at night to be affectionate with each other? And then you want me to cooperate with your sister?! No, why are you picking on me alone?"
As a man, what's the big deal about me living in my future brother-in-law's house? If this gets out, will my reputation be ruined?
"Since you and my sister haven't found a place to stay yet, you can just continue living in this room."
Tang Xi glanced at Pat: "Haha, where are you staying? Sleeping in the corridor?"
"Of course I sleep with my wife." After saying that, he put his arm around his shoulders proudly. Pran didn't push him away, but cooperated with him and leaned in his arms.
Seeing them showing their affection, he really wanted to stuff the overflowing dog food into their stomachs so that they could also experience the feeling of being full.
"I don't agree. And my uncle and aunt won't agree either." After saying that, she looked at him with disdain: "Three people living in one room, it's not acceptable in any way."
Pat pretended not to see his disgusted look and just gave me a look that said, "Don't worry, leave it to me."
What he didn't expect was that his uncle actually agreed to his lame excuse! He actually agreed! ! ! !
They said they were about to graduate, so they didn't need to spend extra money looking for a new house. They said the money they saved now would benefit their grandchildren later...
So after returning to school, he and Pha continued to live in this dormitory building. At night, Pat would walk out of his room and into the door across the street. Sometimes his uncle would come to raid their house, and several times at night, they were almost exposed.
Especially when he walked into Pran's room, he would receive a message from his sister or future brother-in-law. After that, he would pretend to go out to sell water, buy drinks, or buy snacks, and then come back from outside. Of course, the things in his hands were definitely not bought, but picked up from the house across the street.
Sometimes, if he was unlucky, he'd see Pat coming out of the room across the street. Luckily, Pran wasn't the only one there. After having Korn and Wai play the role of the homeowner and allay his father's concerns, he'd brazenly declare that he'd been sleeping in the room across the street, with his best friend, without disturbing his sister's private time.
Especially when he said this, his smug look made Tang Xi want to expose the truth. Just to see his aggrieved expression. As expected, he still liked the way he looked when he wasn't smug.
