Bloody Romance: I, the big troublemaker, Zhong Yuemin!

Chapter 319 Devastated!

Chapter 319 Devastated!

The sound of men talking could be clearly heard from the second floor; it was very noisy and their tone was aggressive. They were speaking Vietnamese, which they couldn't understand. After a while, the noise reached downstairs, along with the barking of dogs. It seemed they were about to attack their small team.

Zhong Yuemin and Ning Wei climbed onto the roof of the building where the enemy was located, one on each side. A heavy rain was falling, masking the faint sound of cracking tiles. They reached the back of the building and found a window. Zhong Yuemin crouched down and peered inside. Two enemy soldiers were holding sniper rifles, aiming at the alleyway where their squad was located, ready to fire at any moment. There were only two people inside.

Zhong Yuemin quickly flipped inside, Ning Wei close behind, dagger gripping his hand tightly. They rushed forward, and the two enemy soldiers, hearing the commotion, turned around. Seeing the two suddenly appear, their eyes widened in terror, and they opened their mouths to cry out.

"Pfft!"

"Pfft!"

One man plunged a knife straight into the heart. The two enemy soldiers didn't even have time to utter a sound before their eyes widened, they collapsed to the ground, dead, their eyes filled with fear and despair!

After swiftly and cleanly finishing the job, Zhong Yuemin tucked the blood-stained dagger back into his waistband, set up his sniper rifle, and Ning Wei followed suit.

"Brother Zhong, how do you use this thing?"

Zhong Yuemin said:

"This should be an American M3 carbine, equipped with an infrared night vision device. Just aim with the infrared night vision device and take care of these bastards."

As soon as he finished speaking, a burst of gunfire erupted from the alley ahead. The two sides had clearly engaged in combat. Zhong Yuemin and his companion quickly set up their guns and aimed. With the aid of infrared night vision devices, and given the guns' range of 300-400 meters, plus the advantageous terrain, the enemy had no idea they would be attacked from behind, leaving them safely exposed to the guns.

"Boom, bang, bang..."

One shot, one kill; in the blink of an eye, five or six fell. The enemy troops, caught in a pincer attack, lost their formation. This long, narrow alley had only two paths, one in front and one behind, leaving them nowhere to escape.

Zhong Yuemin blew a sharp whistle towards the window, the sound of the rain carrying to Man Tun and Wang Tiezhu, who immediately informed them.

"Concentrate your firepower, give them a good beating, charge!"

The enemy soldiers fell one after another, retreating in disarray, "Bang bang bang..."

After a brief exchange of fire, the alley returned to silence, broken only by the sound of rain pattering on the ground. Zhong Yuemin instructed Ning Wei to stay on the second floor to maintain vigilance, while he immediately went downstairs to join Man Tun, Wang Tiezhu, and the others. The narrow alley was littered with the corpses of enemy soldiers, their bodies soaked red by the rain; there were probably more than twenty of them.

"Is everything okay?"

Mantun came up and said, "It's...it's nothing. We have three wounded here, but none of them are fatal."

Whether it was nervousness or killing for the first time, his voice trembled slightly, and his whole body shook. It wasn't fear; he hadn't felt any fear during the initial engagement. But now that he had relaxed a little, his highly tense nerves softened, and his body wasn't quite used to it. Not only Man Tun, but the other members of the squad were as well. Although they were all veterans, having participated in countless training exercises and drills, they had only ever done exercises. They had never actually been on a battlefield, seen blood, let alone been in such a sudden encounter.

Zhong Yuemin patted his shoulder.

"Relax, everyone relax. Practice makes perfect. You'll get used to it once you've seen blood."

Wang Tiezhu said:

"Yuemin, it's thanks to your and Ningwei's support from behind, otherwise these Vietnamese monkeys would have been really hard to deal with."

Picking up an automatic rifle, he said, "Look at this, it's either the Russian AK47 or the American M16. Our Type 56 semi-automatic rifle is no match for them at all."
