Chapter 131 – The Second Zombie King
Chapter 131 – The Second Zombie King
Chapter 131: Chapter 131 – The Second Zombie KingThe wind high above howled fiercely, carrying ashes from the previous battle. The black-scaled zombie dragon beat its wings with immense power, slicing through the heavy grey clouds that hung low in the dreary sky. Each flap of its wings thundered like war drums, echoing ominously with every pass through the dark mist.
Two figures sat side by side on its back.
Sylvia remained calm as always, legs crossed, her black hair whipping wildly in the wind. A faint red glow flickered in her eyes, sweeping the horizon like a predator
They continued on, more alert now. Every shadow behind a broken wall, every slightly open door, felt like a watching eye. This city... was hiding something.
When they reached the heart of the ruins, Sylvia stopped.
"Here," she whispered.
Before them stood the remnants of an old palace just broken pillars and scattered stone. But in the center stood a large statue not of a human or a god, but a massive zombie figure with two curved horns.
The statue looked... new.
"He built a monument to himself..." Sylvia murmured.
Then without warning the statue moved.
GRRRRRRHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Cracks spread across its surface. Stone crumbled away. Beneath it, grayish flesh and decaying muscles emerged. A five-meter-tall figure rose, mouth opening in a howl that shook the entire ruin.
Its eyes blazed crimson. Its body looked sewn together from corpses. In its hand, it held a massive sword like a chunk of rusted iron.
"The second Zombie King," Sylvia muttered.
Sofia raised her spear and stepped back slightly. "This one’s not a trickster. More of a brute-force type like me. And be careful his subordinates might be hiding."
"Good," Sylvia said. "That means I can blow him up without playing cat and mouse."
The giant raised his sword and slammed it into the ground before them.
BOOOOM!!!
The earth split. Rocks flew. His roar echoed into the sky.
Sylvia dashed forward first, her body a black blur slicing through the air.
SWOOSH!
The zombie king’s massive sword swept sideways, tearing through the air with a terrifying sound.
WHHRRNNGGG!!! BOOOM!!
The ground beside Sylvia exploded, forming a massive crater. But she was already airborne, leaping high and hurling a poisoned dagger toward the monster’s head.
THWIP!
Sofia charged in from below, her spear spinning, eyes glowing."Let’s take him down fast before the whole city collapses on us!" she shouted.
