Chapter 194: Rancid Smell
Chapter 194: Rancid Smell
The Black Scale Demonic Eagle flew with Chu Tian and Ling'er for a long time and finally landed on a mountain that was towering into the clouds.
Chu Tian and Ling'er were thrown into a huge cave by the Black Scale Demonic Eagle. The cave was dark and damp, and exuded a disgusting stench.
Chu Tian covered his nose and looked around, and found that the cave was full of bones, both human and animal. They were obviously the food residues of the Black Scale Demonic Eagle.
"Ugh——" Chu Tian couldn't help but dry-heave. It was the first time in his life that he had seen such a horrific scene.
Ling'er also frowned, obviously feeling very uncomfortable with the situation here.
"Roar--"
The Black Scale Demonic Eagle let out a deafening roar, as if warning Chu Tian and Ling'er not to act rashly.
Chu Tian and Ling'er looked at each other and saw helplessness and despair in each other's eyes.
They are now trapped in this hellhole, surrounded by bones and rotten flesh, and there is a black-scaled demon eagle that may take their lives at any time. What else can they do?
"Ling'er, what should we do now?" Chu Tian asked in a low voice, with a hint of trembling in his voice.
Ling'er didn't say anything. She walked to the corner of the cave and carefully observed the surrounding environment, as if looking for something.
Seeing this, Chu Tian did not disturb her. He knew that he could only rely on Ling'er now.
After a while, Ling'er came back with a hint of joy on her face.
"Brother Chutian, I found the exit." Ling'er said, pointing to the depths of the cave.
"Exit?" Chu Tian looked in the direction of Ling'er's finger, only to see that the depths of the cave were pitch black and he couldn't see anything clearly.
"Is there really an exit there?" Chu Tian asked doubtfully.
"Yeah." Ling'er nodded, "I just found that there was a faint breeze blowing out there, and I also smelled a faint fragrance of flowers."
"Fragrant flowers?" Chu Tian was stunned for a moment. He sniffed carefully and indeed smelled a faint fragrance. In this cave full of stench, the floral fragrance seemed particularly abrupt.
"Could it be..." Chu Tian's heart moved and he suddenly thought of something.
"Could it be...could it be that this place is connected to some secret realm?" Chu Tian said excitedly, his voice trembling a little.
Ling'er didn't answer, but just smiled mysteriously and pulled Chu Tian towards the depths of the cave.
It was pitch black in the depths of the cave, and Chu Tian could not see his hand in front of him. He could only follow Ling'er closely, fearing that they would get lost accidentally.
"Ling'er, slow down and be careful with your steps." Chu Tian reminded.
"I understand, Brother Chutian." Ling'er's voice was particularly clear in the darkness.
After walking for an unknown amount of time, the light in front gradually brightened. Chu Tian squinted his eyes and found that they had reached the end of the cave.
At the end of the cave is a narrow exit. The sun is shining brightly outside with birds singing and flowers blooming, which forms a sharp contrast with the darkness and dampness inside the cave.
"Wow! It's so beautiful here!" Chu Tian couldn't help but exclaim.
Ling'er also smiled happily and said, "I told you there must be an exit here."
They walked out of the cave and found themselves in a paradise.
All I saw before me was a vast valley with green grass, blooming flowers, and a clear stream meandering through it like a silver ribbon.
The valley is surrounded by towering mountains covered with lush and verdant trees, which act as natural barriers to isolate the valley from the outside world.
The air was filled with the faint fragrance of flowers, which was refreshing. Various unknown birds were singing happily on the branches, as if welcoming their arrival.
"This... this is really a paradise on earth!" Chu Tian was deeply shocked by the scenery before him. He had never seen such a beautiful place in his life.
"Yes, it's really beautiful here!" Ling'er also exclaimed, with excitement flashing in her red eyes.
"Ling'er, how did you know there is such a place here?" Chu Tian asked curiously.
Ling'er smiled mysteriously and said, "This is a secret. I'll tell you later."
Chu Tian wanted to ask more, but Ling'er pulled his hand and ran happily towards the depths of the valley.
"Brother Chu Tian, let's go over there and take a look!"
Chu Tian was pulled by Ling'er and ran all the way in the sea of flowers. Ling'er's clear laughter was in his ears, the faint fragrance of flowers was on his nose, and his heart was filled with unprecedented ease and happiness.
He felt as if he had returned to his childhood, carefree and free.
Ling'er brought Chu Tian to the stream. The stream was so clear that the pebbles at the bottom were clearly visible.
"Brother Chutian, look, there are so many fish here!" Ling'er said excitedly, pointing at the fish swimming in the stream.
Chu Tian looked carefully and saw many colorful fish swimming in the stream. These fish were very small, but very flexible and could swim freely in the water.
"Wow! What a beautiful little fish!" Chu Tian couldn't help but exclaim in admiration. It was the first time he saw such a beautiful fish.
"Let's go catch some fish!" Ling'er suggested.
"Catch fish?" Chu Tian was stunned. He had never caught fish since he was a child.
"Okay, let's go catch fish!" Chu Tian also became interested. He rolled up his trouser legs and prepared to go into the water.
"Wait!" Ling'er quickly pulled him back and said, "We can't catch them with our hands, or we'll scare the fish."
"Then what do we use to catch it?" Chu Tian asked puzzledly.
Ling'er picked a large leaf from the side, then cut a few times on the leaf with a knife to make a simple net bag.
"Use this." Ling'er handed the net bag to Chu Tian.
Chu Tian took the net bag and looked at Ling'er's skillful movements, his heart full of doubts.
Isn't Ling'er a spirit beast? How could she know these human skills?
However, he did not ask too much, he knew that everyone had their own secrets.
"Come on, let's start catching fish!" Ling'er said, and she took the lead with the net bag and walked carefully into the stream.
Chu Tian also hurriedly followed.
The stream water was cold, but very clear, and Chu Tian could even see his own reflection.
Ling'er's movements were very gentle, and the net bag moved slowly in the water, trying not to disturb the fish.
Suddenly, Ling'er's eyes lit up, and she scooped up the net in her hand, and saw a red fish struggling in the net.
"Haha, I caught it!" Ling'er shouted excitedly, with a proud look on her face.
Seeing this, Chu Tian also became interested. He imitated Ling'er and searched for the target in the water with a net bag.
Soon, he also found a target, a golden fish, which was larger than the one Ling'er caught, and was swimming leisurely.
Chu Tian held his breath, carefully brought the net close to the golden fish, and then scooped it up...
