Chapter 485 Will Robots Miss Little Fish? (Part 62)
On her way home, Lin Huanming parked her car in front of her usual restaurant. She intended to sit inside and eat as usual before leaving, but she suddenly sensed something was wrong.
Lin Huanming changed her usual habit of eating dinner at the restaurant. She asked the staff to pack her food, and carrying the bag of food, she hurriedly walked towards her car.
On his way back to his car, Lin Huanming looked around, hoping to find something that made him feel uneasy.
Lin Huanming noticed something was wrong—a figure seemed to be hiding from her the whole time, but the figure was running too fast for Lin Huanming to see the person's face clearly.
After getting back into the car, Lin Huanming locked the doors and started the vehicle, heading home.
On his way home, Lin Huanming questioned Lu Renkui and the system WQBYRZM in his consciousness space, hoping to find out from them whether someone was really following him or if he was just imagining things.
Upon hearing Lin Huanming's words, Lu Renkui and the system WQBYRZM quickly responded.
"We did find that System T is near you." System WQBYRZM typed on the blue screen, while Lu Renkui watched from the side.
"I've already messaged the system administration, and they should be here soon," said system administrator WQBYRZM.
"So the person following behind me is..." Lin Huanming asked, his foot ready to step on the gas at any moment, gripping the steering wheel nervously as he looked at the red light counting down in front of him.
"Dai Miyin." System WQBYRZM gave the answer that Lin Huanming had already guessed.
Upon hearing the system's reply, WQBYRZM, Lin Huanming began to ponder why Dai Miyin had come to find him.
It's obvious that the press conference is tomorrow. This kid is probably coming to find Lin Huanming now because he wants to do something to prevent Lin Huanming from attending tomorrow's press conference.
The red light turned green, and Lin Huanming stepped on the gas, the car slowly moving forward.
After driving for a while, Lin Huanming turned at an intersection near her home and looked in her rearview mirror to see a black car following behind her.
Lin Huanming was careful; at the next intersection, instead of turning towards his home, she drove in the opposite direction.
The car continued to follow Lin Huanming closely.
Lin Huanming made several more turns, and the car followed her around those turns. Lin Huanming could still see the car in the rearview mirror. She knew that the guy was probably just waiting for her to get out of the car so he could block her.
But how could he let him succeed? Lin Huanming drove to a place based on his memory, then got out of the car with his lunchbox.
After taking only two steps, Lin Huanming heard the sound of a car door opening and closing behind him, and sure enough, someone got out as well.
Lin Huanming quickened his pace and walked towards the gate of a courtyard.
"Hey, Professor Lin Huanming, wait a minute." Lin Huanming heard a boy calling his name from behind. Judging from the voice, it should be Dai Miyin, who had called him a few days ago.
Reaching the vicinity of the courtyard, Lin Huanming took a deep breath, turned around, and looked at the person walking towards her.
"Is there anything I can help you with?" Lin Huanming asked with a stern face.
"Don't be so nervous, Professor Lin Huanming. Let's talk about the press conference." Dai Miyin was wearing a thin black jacket and gray joggers today, with her hands in her pockets, and walked towards Lin Huanming.
“You should go to your superior about the press conference, not come to me.” Lin Huanming still had a stern face. As Dai Miyin approached, he took two steps back. “I don’t have the habit of keeping track of other groups’ schedules.”
“I’m not here for the press conference, since I haven’t returned to work yet,” Dai Miyin said nonchalantly, a smile on his face, as he approached Lin Huanming step by step. “I’m here for the robot you’re researching.”
"Are you researching humanoid robots now? Are you still having mental illness?" Lin Huanming wondered to himself if the system, Little T, hadn't told Dai Miyin that he hadn't inputted memories into K011.
"Heh! Heh!" Dai Miyin laughed twice, then looked at Lin Huanming again. "What are you trying to cover up? You've already inputted your memories into that robot's brain."
"Where did you find out?" Lin Huanming took another step back, almost back into the courtyard.
“Don’t worry about where I found out,” Dai Miyin said, taking a small jar out of her pocket. “If you’re willing to take a nap, from now until the end of the press conference, maybe I can be merciful and not tell them about the illegal things you’ve done.”
Lin Huanming stopped abruptly, his wary expression turning into one of helplessness and pity for the mentally challenged: "Has anyone ever told you that this kind of canned sleeping pill can't knock me out by just spraying it on me unless you drink the whole thing?"
Dai Miyin froze, but he quickly resumed his actions.
"It's okay," Dai Miyin said arrogantly to Lin Huanming in a loud voice, "I can just kidnap you. Anyway, you're probably not as strong as me, so taking you away will be a piece of cake."
Lin Huanming rolled his eyes, then ducked into the yard. Two tall, burly policemen came out, wielding stun guns.
Dai Miyin was successfully detained. Only when he was pinned to the ground by two police officers did he see the sign that had been in his blind spot—the police station.
