Destroying My Own World

Chapter 70 Power.

Chapter 70 Power.

They kept hunting the creatures for hours and there was no sign of the leader. They also had taken care of the problem and found out that it was the mushrooms that were hidden on the ground near the trees that produced the pollen. It made them hallucinate or paralyze depending on the poison resistance, and the longer they were there, the more resistant they were to it.

Sasha showed the difference in strength and ability to the others, and she was invincible which made them quite jealous. Although they felt that way, they were glad there was someone who could surpass them in all aspects and made her their leader. They started to feel and had a special bond and chemistry with each other.

"We should call it a day. We can make a camp here and rest," Sasha said as she looked around.

"I agree, and I'll be the one who stays awake since I don't feel tired," Anzel nodded his head in agreement. "I'm used to this anyway, so you guys don't have to worry about me," Anzel continued.

They made a tent for everyone to sleep in that night, and they didn't want to make a fire since it would attract the creatures. They ate their food and snacks before they went to bed, but Sasha couldn't sleep at all since she was afraid that Lilith and the others might have approached them.

"Can't sleep, Miss Sasha?" Anzel asked when he saw Sasha walk out of the tent.

"No. I can't keep my head empty and it makes me wide awake," Sasha answered as she sat down in front of the tent. "You can get some sleep if you want to," Sasha suggested as she looked at Anzel sharpening his sword.

"I'm fine. Thank you for the offer," Anzel answered.

It was just silence for a moment, and it felt somehow peaceful and awkward at the same time.

"Can I ask you something, Miss Sasha? It's a bit personal, but you can ignore it if you don't want to answer," Anzel said as he looked at Sasha.

"The night is long, ask away," Sasha gently smiled at Anzel.

"What's the reason for you to not join the Redshield Guild? I mean, you have everything, and you have strong people around you back home," Anzel asked.

"I don't belong there, I never was and never will be. You can say that they're living in a different world than yours or anyone else. They're not good people, and perhaps they're the most evil people you have ever met," Sasha answered as she stared blankly at the grass. "They're demons in disguise," Sasha jokingly said.

"I see. So you decided to leave and want to live a life of your own," Anzel said.

"I wish I could do that. My life isn't mine anymore," Sasha mumbled as she raised her eyebrows and kept staring at the grass.

"That's the one we are looking for, but do you think we can deal with it on our own? Should we go back and find the Redshield Guild first so we can kill this thing together?" Anzel asked.

"Yes, that's the only option we have, but we need to be careful to not attract its attention. We need to be quiet and stealthily leave," Luis answered as he nodded in agreement.

They all slowly hid behind the trees so the creature couldn't see them, and then they all slowly and carefully moved from one tree to another. They could hear the stomping and feel the ground shaking that was getting louder and fiercer. Gea looked behind to check how close the creature was to them, but it gave her a chill down her spine when she couldn't find it anywhere.

"Guys... it's gone," Gea said with a panicked expression.

Everyone looked back and the creature had indeed disappeared, and they couldn't find it anywhere. They were so sure that the creature was right behind them, but then suddenly Anastasia heard a rustling sound from above.

"Run!" Anastasia screamed as she saw the creature was right above them and glared down at them with its black eyes.

Anastasia ran as fast as she could and immediately rolled over to dodge the creature's giant hand. She barely dodged it, and when she turned around, she saw Luis and Gea were struck by the hand and were sent onto the trees. She didn't have time to save them because, with every vision that she saw, she was in grave danger that would cost her her life if she didn't pay attention to it.

Anzel and Danny charged forward to deal with the creature, and when they struck their sword and spear on the creature's foot, their weapons shattered. They both were dumbfounded and watched pieces of the blades fly away. They realized how fucked up they were, and then the creature kicked them while they were stunned by it.

Sasha saw both of them fly up into the air and hit the trees, and then she decided to charge at the creature to lure it away. She didn't want Eun Soo to get hurt because she was the only one who could heal them.

Sasha struck her daggers on the creature's foot and it was enough to cut it, but it was nothing but a scratch. She then ran and slid away because she was about to get stomped by the other foot. She immediately turned around and climbed up the creature's leg to attract its attention.

She climbed as fast as she could, but when she glanced to her right, she saw a giant hand right in front of her face. She pulled one of the daggers and stabbed the palm of the creature, she was trying to stop it from hitting her. She screamed her lungs out as she tried to fight back the giant hand in front of her, but she was no match for it and got thrown away.

She got up as soon as she landed, but then she saw the creature was about to crush Eun Soo. She realized she couldn't do anything at that moment because she was so far away from her.

"(Beg me, Sasha. Beg me for more power so you can save your friends. You don't have much time, and this is your only chance)" Lucifer's voice could be heard inside her head.

[A being shrouded in holiness wants you to ignore what Lucifer said]

"I beg you, give me more power," Sasha said without hesitation.
