Chapter 465 Field of Devourer

"Let's see it," Nira said with a smile and snapped her finger.

'Scythe Discharge: Infernal Scythe.'

Lilith was surprised to see a different type of scythe.

This scythe had crimson flame patterns, with a gemstone blade. The tip blazed with red flame, giving it a nefarious look.

Both of them stood away from Erix and others who were focused on creating their Recovery-type skill.

"So you have multiple scythes?" Lilith smiled while a few meters area around her turned pitch black in a circular shape. Shortly, a dark gold throne with black and red patterns emerged upon which she sat down.

The darkness around her was darker than anything Nira had seen, and she knew that it was Lilith's Void element.

Although the Animus element had the highest potential, that doesn't mean the other three Principle elements are weaker than it.

'She created that Field of pure Aethir force and its function is unknown to me,' Nira thought, confused and curious. "Is that a part of your Recovery-type soul skill?"

"Indeed, it is," Lilith nodded.

"Well, you better not defend then," Nira smiled as she stretched her arm to the side while her Infernal Scythe started spinning, soon turning into a ring as it spun speedily.

It was as if a bloody crimson flame ring, with a highly neon style hint due to its stable spinning.

"Bring it on," Lilith smiled as she leaned to a side on the throne with one hand supporting her cheek and another gesturing at Nira.

*Swoosh!*

In an instant, Nira released two flame rings that slashed past both arms of Lilith from her shoulders.

Lilith's expression changed, her eyes strained to the extreme as her soul felt burning pain as if burned by the demonic flame.

'Sorry. I know this is painful, but this is the most important test. If you can't recover your soul quickly amidst this hellish pain and disability you are feeling, your skill still needs improvements,' Nira thought, but her eyes soon were filled with shock.

The moment she hit her skill, Nira could see Lilith's eyes that spoke this was the highest amount of pain she had felt so far. But her stubbornness and determination to fight against it showed fast and clearly as well, shocking Nira at what happened just one second after her attack struck Lilith.

The darkness around Lilith moved as if it thumped...and in the next second, all the damage, effects, and pain she felt was devoured by the darkness.

The throne faintly shone with a golden luster that enveloped Lilith as well and her soul recovered quickly. The feeling of her arms also returned.

Nira was shocked but also pleasantly surprised as she appeared before Lilith and looked at the darkness around her. "I could see that you somehow nullified the entirety of my attack along with its effect while your soul healed swiftly."

"Ask away," Lilith said with a cheeky smile.

Nira laughed out loud and nodded, "Alright, so first question. How much did it cost you?"

"This is a toggle skill. I have structured it, and I can summon this Field anytime I want at the cost of 1% of my Aethir force and Soul energy."

Nira narrowed her eyes, "And how much it cost to nullify my attack."

"It took one second and cost me 11,400 Aethir force, and 18,500," Lilith answered before she curiously asked Nira," How much it cost you for those two rings?"

"Remember this soul essence."

Nira nodded and Lilith continued, "The second restriction is that if I fail to endure and lose my focus in the Field of Devourer, 70% of my soul would burn away in exchange for nullifying the effect."

"What?! That's harsh," Nira was dumbfounded.

"But the reward is sweet," Lilith grinned. "If I don't lose focus and Field of Devourer successfully devours harm off my soul, the soul essence will be boosted accordingly to heal and repair my soul."

"Moreover, I've added Life element's property and some other properties in this process at the cost of some Aethir force to speed up and do burst soul recovery."

"The third restriction is that if I move away from my position while Field of Devourer is active, my soul sea will be locked for five minutes," Lilith smiled. "In this case, I'll have to run."

"But the reward of this restriction is if I stay in the same place without moving while Field of Devourer is active, my soul energy recovery would be boosted accordingly. The longer I remain in the same place, the stronger my soul recovery," Lilith grinned, a glint passing through her eyes. "So because of this Soul Vice, the more dangerous situation it is, the stronger my soul recovery will become."

"Damn, this is good," Nira grinned. "If the situation is dangerous, and you activate Field of Devourer, the longer you stay in the position, the faster your soul recovery would be and you can even start attacking and defending. If you want to create a set of skills revolving around this combat style, that's good."

"I will create a powerful defensive skill that protects...my position from other attacks," Lilith thoughtfully said.

Nira's eyes flashed as she nodded with a smile, "Yep. Continue in this direction. Your Recovery-type skill is good."

"Create more soul skills. A set of skills that synergize with each other."

'I wonder if they can create a Combat Domain soon?' Nira thought. 'Hmm, well I can tell them about it during Break Time if they finish creating satisfactory Recovery-type and Defense-type soul skills faster. These two things are a top priority right now.'

Just as Lilith went back to create her defense-type skill, Sameira opened her eyes. Deep within her eyes, they reflected two different scenery.

Her left eye had a serene lake with a blue moon, and her right eye had a red lake and a crimson moon, with cracks akin to a glass shattering.

She sensed Nira's presence and sent her a thought message.

'Nira, my recovery-type and defense-type skill is ready.'

'Eh? Both?' Nira was surprised.

'Yep.'

'Now how will this one surprise me?' Nira was curious and eager.

Sameira arrived before Nira at the same place where Lilith and Nira tested previously.

"What do you want to test first?" Nira asked as she stretched her arm, her Infernal Scythe appearing in her hand again.

"Both," Sameira said with a smile. "Break my defense, hurt me, and I recover. The skill I created is two in one and I call it...Duality Lakes."

In the next second, a blurry miniature scenery appeared around Sameira, ethereal and painted with dots.

One half was a serene lake reflecting the blue light of the moon, with a peaceful atmosphere, colorful flowers, and mountains.

The other half was a crimson lavatic red lake, a cracked-filled desolate land, and a shattered red moon in the sky that painted everything with sharp splashes of red.

"Alright, it looks interesting," Nira said with a grin as her Scythe spun again."Let's check it out."
