Chapter 271: Aria's Wonderful Powers, Her Wish

Rin and others were watching the battle between Aria and Erix through a screen created by Amu, but they were dumbfounded at Aria's fighting style and powers!

In the sub-dimension, Erix was indeed not holding back at all, throwing punches and quick attacks using his everything.

However, Aria was surrounded by cuteness that was destructive and powerful!

"Go!" Aria grinned as several hundred magical colorful life-like birds shot towards Erix!

There was also a big turtle above her and a faint turtle-shell-like transparent barrier around her.

'This power....what is this,' Erix was also dumbfounded as he destroyed the incoming birds with his punches while also sending a powerful Twin-Whirling Punch towards Aria from right behind her.

It stuck her defense, breaking her completely, but Aria flung herself far away while preparing another one and leaving scratch-free from the attacks.

Sometimes his attacks were entirely nullified!

'Her spirit power is off the charts, so it makes sense for her defend against my attacks...but what is with the way she's molding it?! That's not normal...'

Aria could produce life-like 'beings' using her Mana and spirit power, each possessing various powers with their capabilities and potency heightened due to her spirit power and...soul power!

But not anyone could do what she was doing, not even Lilith despite her having more Spirit power and soul power than Aria in terms of raw stats.

"Amu," Lilith turned to Amu from the battle, her expression showing shock. "Is that what I think it is?"

"Hehe, of course! I told you Aria has a great affinity with spirit and soul with her past circumstances and accident," Amu proudly grinned. "Did you think she was powerful just because I helped her?"

"What is that power, Lilith?" Rin asked with intense curiosity in her eyes. "That's an element? But it's strange..."

"Animus," Lily muttered and turned to Amu, "is that correct?"

"Bwahwahahaha! YES!"

"It's the least straightforward, but the most profound one out of the four Principle Elements," Lilith said, filling Rin's curiosity.

"Animus element."

"Animus..." Rin muttered, her eyes shining. "This element looks crazily cool and versatile."

"It can allow you to create and mold animated souls," Amu said with a smirk. "But you can do so much more with them when you combine the Animus element with other elements because it matches with and supports everything."

"Mhmm," Lilith nodded. "When you have Animus element, only your imagination is your limit and well, your other powers."

"Erix can't win," Lilith added with a wry smile. "But I don't think he will lose given Aria's inexperience in fighting."

"You need a catalyst to further your progress like Erix has," Lily thoughtfully said as she turned to Lilith, "We can get something like that from Core-domain, right?"

"Yes. We'll have to get you that before you leave," Lilith nodded at Rin. "Erix's source and circumstances give him insight into Death, and the item the mysterious lady gave him helped him get insights into Space, but you don't have such a catalyst."

"You got affinities with Wind, Lightning, and Time, but Time is mysterious. It's similar to Animus but in a different direction because Time surprisingly bents exotically when combined with other elements."

"The Insight scroll gave you the correct combination because I think Wind and Lightning combined with Time can bring wonders I can't imagine," Lilith smiled. "You can say that your Chronace is a fully all-rounder super exotic element."

"Mhm, now I really want a catalyst to aid in my progress," Rin said while grinning as she observed the battle that was coming to an end. "That dragon is so powerful. Is that her trump card?"

"Seems like it, but she couldn't explore the full possibility on that dragon's structure. It can't do anything to Erix," Lilith wryly smiled.

"Actually, Rin, I might have something like that to help you with your Time element."

The cute slime adopted a thoughtful expression with its big eyes, attracting everyone's attention from the battle.

"I've lived for so long, so I had some strange guests before the elves settled here. I also had an opportunity, which was why I was able to born."

"Really?" Rin's eyes sparkled.

"Yes. I'll have to check my stash for that when we return."

"Also, the battle is over," Amu pouted. "Erix didn't lose exactly, so it's a tie."

However, Amu was soon surprised as Erix smiled at Aria and said, "Alright, you win. I count the hits, and you've made more hits than me."

"Also, it's my policy that I won't consider myself a winner if it's a tie."

Aria's slightly downcast expression immediately brightened!

Erix laughed and teleported before her as he couldn't help but gently pat this cute yet strong lass, "Of course. Go ahead."

Aria remembered at the end of the test Erix hugged that girl so tightly and for so long. Despite just watching them, she could feel warmth and love flowing into her.

She wanted to experience that herself!

Aria rubbed her fingers, and her heart beat faster. "I-I want you to hug me tightly as you hugged her in your test at the end...tight and long."

Without wasting a single breath, Erix wrapped his arms behind her, his right arm at her waist and his left hand pushing her back as he hugged her ever so tightly and lovingly, making Aria drop tears as she also hugged him and closed her eyes in peace and warmth that she longed.
