Chapter 192 Arrival
Chapter 192 Arrival
The spy pretended not to believe it and asked how he knew that. The brigade commander told him that he had gone in to take a look.
When the spy wanted to ask more questions, the battalion commander refused to say anything.
The document also stated that the spy deliberately said those misleading words during the first interrogation in order to find someone to take the blame.
"This is really..." Yuan Lang didn't know whether to be happy or angry for a moment.
He was glad that there were no traitors inside and the spies did not know their detailed situation. But what made him angry was that their station was leaked to the spies just because of a drink.
Now, I don’t know how many people will come to inquire about their whereabouts from now on. It’s so annoying.
"Now, the higher-ups are even more determined to issue a prohibition order..." Tielue took a puff of his cigarette with some melancholy. All of these old comrades don't like smoking. This made them completely uncomfortable.
"It's better to ban it, so that such things won't happen again." Yuan Lang didn't think it was a big deal, since he didn't have an alcohol addiction anyway.
Besides, as a member of the special forces, he is very restrained in smoking and drinking. Unless necessary, he basically does not touch these things.
Then he asked, "What happened to the battalion commander?"
The railway replied: "After he realized that he had inadvertently leaked information to the spy, he made a professional report to his superiors and took the initiative to ask for punishment."
"What a pity." Yuan Lang murmured.
He looked at the battalion commander's resume in the document. He was a 35-year-old lieutenant colonel, which could be said to be very young. Unfortunately, because of his drunken remarks, he ruined his bright future in the army.
"Okay." The captain waved his hand and said, "Go back and hand over to Qi Heng. There will be a transport plane flying to Xinjiang Province tomorrow, and you can catch a ride on it."
"Then I'll go back first." Yuan Lang didn't hesitate. He stood up, saluted, and walked out of the office.
After returning to the dormitory, Yuan Lang gathered everyone together, told them the departure time, and explained that after Group A left, all matters concerning Li Jian would be handled by Qi Heng. He then took him to the office for a handover.
Li Xiang and the others did not waste any time and packed up their equipment amidst the envious looks of the people in Group B.
This trip might take quite a while, so they packed all the things they should and shouldn't bring into a box to avoid being lost when they need them.
They had a small gathering for dinner in Warehouse No. 3 in the evening and got on a bus to the airport at noon the next day.
After arriving at a military airport, several people waited until the transport plane was loaded with cargo before moving their own equipment on board.
Not long after they sat down, the plane took off into the sky and flew towards Xinjiang Province.
Li Xiang, who was free, looked at Leng Feng standing beside him, patted him on the shoulder and said teasingly: "You are so shameless! For your sake, we have to steal the credit from others."
Leng Feng scratched his head in embarrassment when he heard this. Just as he was about to say something, Yuan Lang interrupted him and said, "Oh, right! I forgot to mention that this time we are helping out on a voluntary basis."
"Is this true?" Li Xiang looked at Yuan Lang with some disbelief.
Leng Feng waved his hands hastily and said, "I don't care about these. I just want to train myself in actual combat, otherwise I'm afraid I'll hold everyone back."
Yuan Lang smiled but said nothing. His words were half true and half false. Originally he felt that it was not good to steal work from others, so he mentioned it to his superiors. They did not want any credit but only practical experience.
Not only did their higher-ups not agree to this request, but even the troops they were going to station there did not agree.
When he knew they were coming, he simply made a request to help them train the soldiers in his free time, and Yuan Lang agreed without thinking.
Upon hearing this, Crow gave him a thumbs up and said with a smile, "You have good awareness, kid!"
Leng Feng raised his eyebrows and said proudly: "Of course!"
While they were playing around, Li Xiang noticed a few non-commissioned officers and conscripts who had been sitting quietly opposite them since they came up.
"Hey, catch it, brother!" Li Xiang took out a bag of chewing gum and threw it at them.
The sergeant on the opposite side hurriedly caught it and thanked Li Xiang: "Thank you, Chief!"
Li Xiang chuckled and said, "You're welcome. Relax a little. Aren't you tired of standing so stiff?"
Seeing this, Wu Liuyi also said with a smile: "That's right, you guys can just do what you normally do and just pretend we don't exist!"
After taking the chewing gum distributed by the sergeant, the people on the opposite side relaxed a little and thanked Li Xiang one after another.
But they still didn't say much. It was obvious that the military ranks of Li Xiang and others still brought them considerable pressure.
Li Xiang smiled and waved his hand to indicate that they were welcome, and then he stopped talking to them.
It’s not that he looks down on them, but he is afraid that once he opens his mouth, the other party will become even more nervous.
Time passed unnoticed as the group chatted.
Three hours later, the plane landed at a military airport in Xinjiang Province.
When the plane stopped, Li Xiang and his companions immediately moved their equipment boxes to make way for others.
"Commander, let me help you move it!" Seeing this, the non-commissioned officer on the same plane took the opportunity to help with the soldiers.
"Thanks, brother!" Li Xiang smiled and let them help move the things to the side, trying not to block the staff's way.
After finishing his work, Li Xiang took out a few more bags of chewing gum and distributed them to them, and reminded them with a smile: "Be careful when you eat, this stuff can refresh you, don't blame me for not reminding you if you can't sleep."
"Thank you, Chief. I'll save it for when I stay up late." The sergeant smiled and put it away. He had just tried the power of this thing and it was very effective. Now he wouldn't have to worry about feeling sleepy while on guard.
After putting it away, several people saluted them and went about their own business.
Li Xiang looked around and asked Yuan Lang, "Why don't we see anyone coming to pick us up?"
"Let me ask about the situation." Yuan Lang said as he took out his cell phone and prepared to make a call.
"Drip!"
Before he could do anything, two horns were heard not far away.
A Jiefang truck drove up and stopped beside the few people. A captain with dark skin and honest face got out from the passenger seat.
He quickly ran to Yuan Lang, saluted, and then smiled apologetically, "I'm so sorry, everyone. Something delayed me on the way. I kept you waiting for a long time."
Yuan Lang returned the greeting and said nonchalantly: "It's okay, we just arrived too."
Seeing that Yuan Lang did not blame him, the captain breathed a sigh of relief and then stretched out his hand and said, "You must be Captain Yuan, my name is Zhao Wu, and I am the captain of the xx squadron of the Armed Police. You have been assigned to our squadron this time."
"Sorry to bother you!" Yuan Lang shook hands with him, then turned to Li Xiang and the others and said, "Please load your things into the car first."
Li Xiang and his companions nodded, lowered the baffle and loaded their equipment.
"No bother, not at all!" Zhao Wu replied with a smile, and at the same time called the driver to help.
He really didn't mind being disturbed. This time, when they knew that a team of special forces was coming to station with them, countless squadrons rushed to take on the job, all thinking that they would be the first to get the job and consult them, but in the end, he got the job.
